1. The product is usually chosen for its aesthetics and the natural beauty and elegance it will add to your home, you must also consider how resilient your wood floor is, how it will wear long term and how much maintenance it will require. In our opinion the product must come from a reputable manufacturer, it also must posses all the necessary product certifications for example, DIN Standard, BS or CE. These certifications ensure that the product has been tested by an approved independent European Body and has passed all the rigorous tests required for use within its country of origin for example , Germany, UK, Europe. SFC and PEFC certification insures that the hardwood raw material comes from sustainable forests and traces the chain of custody from forest floor to factory.

2. Just as important as your choice of flooring is the craftsman who is going to install it. Always always chose skill, experience and track record over price. A good craftsman is worth his weight in gold and he should own the project through all its phases, site assessment, site preparation, product delivery and acclimatization, floor installation, detailing and finish.
